Start your Adriatic Cruise in Venice, Italy and cruise
through the enthralling Adriatic Sea to charming Croatia, and along its
stunning coastline. Resplendent with a wealth of culture, history, art and
architecture, over 1,000 islands encompass the mighty region of Dalmatia.
We arrive to Istria’s cultural mecca, Rovinj, with
its fantastic setting of centuries-old red-roofed houses clustered around
the hill of a former island. The monumental baroque Church of St. Euphemia
crowns the hill. And far below is the wide harbor packed with pleasure boats
and rimmed with bright awning and colorful cafe umbrellas. Your second stop is in the once most dominate city in the
entire region: Zadar. Here you will find an incredible collection of
inimitable church art, uniquely designated "The Gold and Silver of Zadar."
Experience the charm of the southern Adriatic as we arrive
at Split, the largest city along the Adriatic coast. Its beauty
captivated IV Century Roman Emperor Diocletian, who built his palace here. Our journey continues to the picturesque island of
Korčula, the birthplace
of Marco Polo. Visit the Abbot’s Treasury and discover all about the Moreka
sword dance. Enjoy all the incomparable views as we approach the rugged Lovćen Mountain that overlooks the medieval city of Kotor that sits
nestled in one the most beautiful bay in all the Adriatic.
Admire the serene beauty of the true Pearl of the Adriatic:
the unforgettable walled city of Dubrovnik. Tour its Old Town and
visit Franciscan and Dominican Monasteries, the Rector’s Palace and
Dubrovnik Cathedral. Besides being a
hotspot for the world's rich and famous, Hvar has one of
the first communal theaters in Europe, built in 1612, called the Arsenal.
There is also the famous “Tvrdalj” Palace of Petar Hektorović, not to be
missed. Now in Mali Loinj,
one feels the breath of maritime captains. The nucleus of this town and its
many stately villas date from the XIX century. It was when the
citizens were enjoying an affluent life due to the peak of maritime
navigation here. |
